As for New Zealand, all the hard work got undone there towards the end, conceding 37 runs in the last couple of overs and that has resulted in a dramatic shift in momentum. As he has done so often, Trent Boult set things in motion with a wicket in his first over. New Zealand were able to build on that scalp as Tim Southee, who was brought into the side for this game, struck twice in his opening spell. Akeal Hosein picked up the early wicket of Devon Conway after which Alzarri Joseph and Gudakesh Motie put a stranglehold on the Kiwi batting through the middle stages of the game.
