Day 4: Mood Indigo wraps up with food and humour

The food fest saw celebrity chef Ranveer Brar having an interactive session with students. Brar gave tips on cooking and showed how delicious snacks could be prepared with a few ingredients and in less time. In the session, he cooked paneer with fruit gravy.

    Day 4 of IIT-Bombay festival Mood Indigo, considered to be Asia's largest college cultural event, boasted of the much awaited food and humour events.

    The food fest saw celebrity chef Ranveer Brar having an interactive session with students. Brar gave tips on cooking and showed how delicious snacks could be prepared with a few ingredients and in less time. In the session, he cooked paneer with fruit gravy.

    On being asked about the changes in eating habits in India, he said, "A lot has changed in the eating style. Indians are most rooted when it comes to food. We miss our food the most when we are abroad." He stressed on the point that today's youth are inclined towards regional Indian food and give high regard to it. When he was asked to differentiate between the foods at five-star hotels and local thelas, he said, "Hindustan ka khana Hindustan ki galiyon aur nukkadon mein basta hai. (Indian food tastes best in India's local eateries)."

    Meanwhile, the Humorfest, organised in the convocation hall, had ace stand-up comedian Vir Das, who presented his Bollywood journey and shared a number for experiences working with other co-stars. He also shared his struggles, and the hilarious situations he faced while working with Katrina Kaif and Rishi Kapoor. In one of his acts, he told about a funny encounter with a doctor in the United States, who used to treat patients for free.

    The other attraction of the day was India's Raw star contestant Mohit Gaur. He gave an electrifying performance by singing the latest numbers. The enthusiastic crowd at the fest also seemed a bit subdued, as it was the last day.
