PM predicts less than 50 seats for Congress
Stating that Congress has insulted middle class in this country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the confuse Congress party would win at the most 40 to 50 seats. He lauded contribution of honest middle-class towards various welfare schemes ans told that for the first time in history of Nation’s budget, Government has on record thanked the middle class for it.
In his 49 minutes speech he also mentioned martyrs from police force and said, there are 33 thousand policemen who have laid their lives while doing their duty for our security. He blamed Congress and previous Governments for ignoring the demand by police force to built a memorial and told that his Government has built National memorial of these martyrs in New Delhi.
Appealing middle class to strongly remain with NDA, Prime Minister Modi thanked middle class for increasing tax net and contributing for the various welfare schemes including Ayushman Bharat. He said that Congress has ignored younger generation despite arrival of digital age and is still thinking in the era of feudalism and era of kings and prince.
Addressing a massive election rally at MMRDA ground at Bandra-Kurla complex Prime Minister Modi said that Congress thinking is not going beyond last Century and that is the reason they are confused and not striking the pulse of the next generation. Stating that since Congress is confused party, all the surveys are showing that BJP would be single largest party and speculations are made for whether BJP would cross its 2014 tally of 282 seats. On the other hand, Modi said, "political pundits are raising the doubt whether Congress would reach its figure of 44 seats or settle down to less than 40 or fifty seats. Congress has accused middle class of being selfish which is not true."
Thanking various sections of Mumbaikars including fishermen, Dabbawalas, Kaali-Pili Taxiwaalaas, conservancy staff for keeping Mumbai going despite all issues and attacks like 26/11 terror attacks and bomb blasts, Modi said, "the Chowkidaar could undertake various welfare measures only because of huge contribution by middle class. After my one line appeal crores of them gave up gas subsidy which resulted in providing gas cylinder to crores of households. There are four million senior citizens who have given their senior citizens subsidy of railway tickets and are paying full fare. Whetehr it is blood donation, eye donation or even body donation, middle class is always ahead." He also mentioned Mumbaikars for their immense contribution in beach cleaning.
Pointing out that hallmark of Congress Governments was corruption, high tax rates and rising inflation, Modi said that it was his first Government which has run the country for five years without increasing any tax. He said that his Government has increased number of tax payers instead of raising the taxes. He said that his Government has brought inflation from 10 per cent to 4 per cent which has happened first time in 3 decades.
Modi dared leaders from various parties who are not even contesting 20 or 30 seats and aspiring to become Prime Minister. He asked the audience whether can any of these leaders would be able to bring an end to terrorism or give befitting reply to it as he did. He reiterated that if at all any such terror attack happens again, he would penetrate their houses and even kill them wherever they are.
Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, all the six candidates of BJP and Shiv Sena mega-alliance, leaders from all the alliance parties were present on the dais.
Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray said that alliance with BJP was on Hindutwa and for having Modi as Prime Minister who would teach a lesson to Pakistan if does something again. Thackeray said that after coming to power, article 370 would be removed in Jammu and Kashmir in addition to building a Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Fadnavis said that this election was for development and National security. He said that small animals have gathered together who are running away after coming to know that they have to combat an alliance of lion and a tiger.
