The Bombay High Court on Tuesday directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to allow the Shiv Sena to hold their traditional Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park in Dadar on October 6 for five hours in the evening.

A division bench of Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice Roshan Dalvi directed the Sena to abide by the noise pollution norms, which prescribes noise level of 50 decibels. The court directed the party, which has been holding the rally for the last 40 years, to wind up the rally by 10pm.

However, they will have to maintain the noise level of 50 decibels. They have also been granted permission to erect a stage in a part of the park. The court has directed the party to restore the ground to original state after the rally.
