Keeping track of your Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) account balance has never been easier. With the Umang app, you can check the amount deposited in your EPF account right from the comfort of your home.
Here's how to check your EPF balance using the Umang app:
1. Download the Umang app: Begin by downloading the Umang app on your mobile device. This user-friendly app was introduced by Prime Minister Modi in 2017.
2. Register and log in: After downloading the app, register yourself and log in to your account.
3. Access EPFO services: Once logged in, navigate to the EPFO Services section within the app.
4. Choose passbook viewing: Under the EPFO Services, you'll find options for different services and departments. Choose the service option and proceed to View Passbook.
5. Select employee-centric service: Within the Passbook Viewing section, select the Employee-centric service option.
6. Enter UAN number: A new page will open, prompting you to enter your UAN (Universal Account Number).
7. Verify with OTP: After entering your UAN, you will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) on your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP to verify your identity.
8. Get your balance: Once verified, click the OK button. In just a few moments, you'll receive information about your EPF balance.
With these simple steps, you can keep track of your EPF balance without the hassle of visiting an office. The Umang app provides a convenient and secure way to access your account information and stay updated on your EPF balance.
