Everton’s Andre Gomes collapsed to the ground with what looked like a serious injury to his lower right leg.

The main thing is wishing Andre Gomes a speedy recovery...but you can’t blame Son for the way Gomes landed. It was a normal foul and just a very unlucky fall for Gomes. To show a red card simply based on the severity of the injury was a terrible call

Heung min Son's horror tackle didn't cause Andre Gomes's injury, it was the collision with Aurier that caused the injury.

Clearly Son didn't deserve a red card it can be a yellow for the harsh tackle.

Did Gomes have this happen due to the tackle, 100% yes. By the rules it's a red card.

Martin Atkinson clearly was going to give Son a yellow, but after seeing how badly #gomes was hurt, produced a red. If the foul was a yellow card offence, why did Atkinson change it?
