Diego Maradona's daughter vomited on hearing her father's final moments on audio, seeks justice

Diego Maradona's death in November 2020 saddened the entire football world. The Argentine legend, who helped the side to glory in the 1986 FIFA World Cup, died at the age of 60 due to a cardiac arrest. However, following his death, a major scandal has erupted in Argentina which was recently highlighted by his daughter Dalma. In a tweet stated January 31, 2021, Dalma Maradona has written, "I just listened to the audios between Luque and the psychiatrist and I vomited! The only thing I ask God is that justice is done!" Dalma's sister, Giannina has also expressed her disgust at the audio that chronicled Diego Maradona's final moments which was leaked to the local media. 

Leopoldo Luque is the neurosurgeon and the psychiatrist is Agustina Cosachov. Both had exchanged audio messages which have now been leaked. A probe was opened by local authorities into the treatment and drugs prescribed to the former footballer by his doctors and as part of the investigation, Luque's home and office were searched. Neither alcohol nor narcotic drugs were found in his body at the time of his death. Dalma Maradona holds Luque and Cosachov responsible for the death of her father.

Maradona played in four FIFA World Cups, including the 1986 World Cup in Mexico where he captained Argentina and led them to victory over West Germany in the final, and won the Golden Ball as the tournament's best player. In the 1986 World Cup quarter-final, he scored both goals in a 2–1 victory over England that entered football history for two different reasons. The first goal was an unpenalized handling foul known as the "Hand of God", while the second goal followed a 60-meter dribble past five England players, voted "Goal of the Century" by FIFA.com voters in 2002.

Maradona's exploits on the field have left an indelible impression on people all over the world. When Diego Maradona visited India, the fan following and the adulation he received was second to none. Such is his popularity that when Diego Maradona announced his retirement, Argentina as a nation was traumatized. In popular culture, Diego Maradona is the subject of a comic book titled "El Die", where he is the main character. Maradona has had several online Flash games that are entirely dedicated to his legacy.
