Ryan Giggs’ Mumbai has beaten Salgado’s Kochi 1-1. It wasn’t the most open game even though there were a total of 31 shots. Kochi led for most of the game after a goal in the first quarter but Mumbai managed to equalise late in the death with a goal through Angellot who has been massive throughout the tournament. What followed was a penalty shootout in which the rules were slightly different (you can take as many shots as you want but have to score within 5 seconds). In the end, both legends missed with Salgado and Giggs missing their penalties.
However, legendary goalkeeper Luis Amado took the penalty and then saved his opposite number’s shot to make Mumbai the inaugural champions of Premier Futsal League.
