Hina Khan Birthday Special: 11 lesser known facts about the television superstar

Hina Khan was born in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. She later moved to Delhi for higher studies. 

Hina completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2009 from the CCA School of Management, Gurgaon, Delhi. 

Hina wanted to pursue journalism and never had acting on her mind. 

After completing her studies, Hina relocated to Mumbai and enrolled herself for an air-hostess course. However, as fate would have it, she contracted malaria and could not join the training academy. 

One day, she just accompanied her friends to the auditions of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'. She wasn't very serious about becoming an actor but to her surprise, she got a call from the producer the very next day. She was informed that she had been selected for the role of the main lead. She ofcourse accepted it and the rest as they say, is history. 

Hina Khan loves Mughlai food and her favourite restaurant is Veda in Connaught Place, New Delhi.

Hina Khan's all-time favourite snack is butter-fried bread.
