At the age of 24, he started his day with alcohol. He used to wake up in the morning and drink alcohol instead of water which developed into a serious illness.

Within 7 years, his body was ruined, had a serious stomach ailment in 2005. The doctor said that his chances of survival were only 15 percent. He also had a pneumonia attack, fortunately, he survived.

He was admitted to PGI Hospital in Lucknow for 30-35 days where he the plight of his family. He then decided to change his life and do something productive.

Later Vijay got a government job. But he became a voice over artist when he came to Mumbai. In 2009, Vijay took a big risk and left the government job. He also appeared in Family Man 1 and 2, Special Ops, 777 Charlie.
