Devoleena Bhattacharjee pregnant, report claims actress is expecting first child with husband Shanawaz Shaikh

Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who married Shanawaz Shaikh in a lavish ceremony in 2022, is reportedly expecting her first child. According to a source close to the actress, she is in the early stages of pregnancy.

A source close to Devoleena Bhattacharjee told News18, "She is [pregnant], but she does not want to announce it as of now. Devoleena likes to keep her personal matters away from the limelight, and therefore she does not want to give any media attention to her pregnancy as of now. But surely, she will announce the good news whenever she feels the time is right."

The actress sparked pregnancy rumours last month after fans noticed her baby bump in a social media post. However, she didn't to confirm or deny these rumors. While speaking to News18, Devoleena said, "I get irritated when I get messages or calls asking about rumors. If it is my personal life, I’ll tell you whenever I feel like it. Don’t bother me or don’t worry about it. Everything has the right time. There are so many rumors about me which I laugh at. I was shocked. There’s nothing one can do about it."

For the unversed, Devoleena, who is currently working in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, tied the knot with Shanawaz Shaikh in December 2022 in a court wedding held in Lonavala. The ceremony was attended only by close friends. Despite facing significant backlash and trolling for her decision to marry someone from a different faith, Devoleena remained consistent and responded to critics with strong and befitting replies.
