SPOILER ALERT!

Although the cast of 'Friends' reunion spoke about not hooking up with each other during the shoot, sparks indeed flew between two characters. One of the most shocking revelations made on the unscripted 'Friends: The Reunion' was Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer majorly crushed on each other during the first season of the show. It was when James Corden asked the six actors Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, the two of them confessed.

Corden quizzed, "To ask what I would consider it to be a cheeky question. It's impossible not to realize and see the new all young, hot, good looking successful actors. it's inconceivable to me that there weren't perhaps of screen romances."

To which Jennifer immediately quipped, "Well, I mean, David..." Schwimmer then revealed, "Yeah, the first season I had a major crush on Jen. Both at some point, we were both crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship. So we never crossed that boundary, we respected that."

Aniston in between jumped in and said the feelings were reciprocated and spoke about the first kiss shared between Ross Geller and Rachel Green at the coffee shop in the second season.

LeBlanc in-between teased both of them saying, "Bullsh*t!" Adding that he was just kidding.

That's when Jen narrated, "I just remembered. Honestly, I remember saying one time to David, 'It's going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television.' Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop. We just channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel."

The sequence then shifts to the set of Monica and Rachel's apartment where Courteney talks about that iconic kiss and revealed that she is relieved they didn't act on their relationship.

Cox said, "That scene in the coffee house when their first kiss... I watched it the other day and I was weeping. The tension was just palpable, it was just perfect. I’m so glad you guys didn't because I don't know what... you'd have just been great actors. But man, that was something."

Early footages of David and Jennifer playing and teasing each other like a cute couple is shown which will make Ross and Rachel fans more emotional.

David then says he was surprised nobody knew they had a crush on each other. He said, "I thought back on the very first year or two when we have breaks from rehearsal, there were moments where we would cuddle on the couch."

To which Jen added, "Or we would spoon and fall asleep on the couch."

Schwimmer then says, "And I'm thinking, 'How did not everyone know we’re crushing on each other?'" However, the rest of the cast including Courteney, Lisa, Matthew and Matt say in unison, "We knew, for sure."

Giving fate some credit, Cox is heard saying, "There was a situation that we couldn’t do anything about it. How great though, ultimately, because if you had and didn’t work out, it would not have probably been as great."

Well, all we can say is, they were 'lobsters' and destiny had something else in mind.

'Friends: The Reunion' can be streamed exclusively on ZEE5 in India.
