‘Gandii Baat’ actress Gehana Vasisht not involved in porn racket, she is innocent, claims publicist

‘Gandii Baat’ actress and model Gehana Vasisth has been recently arrested for her alleged involvement in shooting and uploading porn videos on a paid website. Gehana Vasisth has been arrested by the Property Cell of the Crime Branch on Sunday (Febraury 7) and she will be produced before the court on Monday.

Amidst all this, Gehana's team has released an official statement on her behalf. Flynn Remedios, Head of Gehana Vasisth's Legal and Press team released an official statement which reads, “Gehana Vasisth aka Vandana Tiwari is totally innocent. She is not involved in any porn film racket etc. As the producer and director of her company GV Studios, she has only produced and directed films that are permissible in law and at most can be classified or categorized as Erotica.”

The statement added that Gehana has been falsely accused and has been made ‘a victim’ by her ‘business competitors’. The statement further read, “She is being falsely implicated and trapped or made a victim by vested interests and business competitors who are out to defame her. We have full faith in the judiciary and the Indian legal system. Unfortunately, Mumbai Police, which is otherwise the best police force in the world has mixed up and clubbed together Gehena's Erotica film making work with hard porn and hard porn makers in India. There is a legal difference between Erotica or sensual or bold films and hard core porn, but unfortunately, we are really saddened by the fact that the cops have clubbed both together. We hope the courts will identify the difference and give Gehana justice in the coming days.”

Gehana Vasisth gained popularity after starring in ALT Balaji’s web series ‘Gandi Baat’. She has also won the Miss Asia Bikini contest in 2012.

Gehana Vasisth was born in Chirimiri, Chhattisgarh. Her mother Meena Tiwari is a housewife and her father Rajendra Tiwari was an education officer. She has one younger sister Namrata and two younger brothers Vedant and Sankalp Tiwari. Vasisth was an anchor for Cricket World Cup 2015 for a news channel along with Yograj Singh and Atul Wassan as well and has done around 70 advertisements.
