Khatron Ke Khiladi season 9: Here's what Punit J Pathak has to say on winning the trophy

Popular stunt based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi season 9 has finally come to an end after a nail-biting grand finale on Sunday night. The Rohit Shetty hosted show had a special guest in the original Khiladi Kumar from Bollywood -- Akshay Kumar, who graced the finale episode and even performed parkour stunt with fire on the finale. After 10 weeks of facing various kinds of fears, Punit J Pathak emerged as the winner and wlaked away with the winning trophy of Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. 

Commenting on his victory, an elated Punit Pathak said in a statement, "Nothing comes easy for me this win was due to sheer hard work, focus, determination and self believe. It feels great to be crowned as the ultimate winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. Winning a show that directs its participants to face their fears and overcome them, does wonders to their confidence." He also thanked Rohit Shetty, his fellow-participants and the team at the channel for this opportunity.

Earlier, a few reports doing the rounds had suggested that Aditya Narayan has been crowned the winner of KKK 9, but turns out that that wasn't true after all. Punit managed to perform the finale stunt designed by Rohit Shetty, beating Aditya and Ridhima Pandit and emerged victorious. The stunt was a combination of height, speed and dexterity. With a car, truck and a helicopter as a part of the stunt, all the three contestants were really geared up to perform the last stunt of the season. But Punit’s swiftness and accuracy, made him win this task.

Season 9 of Khatron Ke Khiladi had grabbed a lot of eyeballs right from day one, for a number of reasons. The show had the right mix of action, adventure, comedy and entertainment which kept the viewers hooked to it.
