Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan won the gold medal in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Arshad Nadeem threw 92.97 on his second try in the August 8 final, that was the  greatest throw in Olympic history . The silver medal in this event went to Neeraj Chopra, the talented javelin thrower from India. Neeraj Chopra had the best throw of the season in the final, making it in his second attempt at 89.45 meters.

Pakistan has embraced Arshad as a hero since he won the gold medal. Arshad Nadeem is also being gifted various kinds of items. Over 30 crore Pakistani rupees (₹9.09 crore) in prize money have reportedly been announced so far for Arshad Nadeem, according to reports in the country's media. In addition, he has been showered with gifts.

On August 14, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif gave Arshad Nadeem a cheque for Rs 15 crore (Pakistani rupees). In contrast, a few days prior, Arshad Nadeem received a cheque for Rs 10 crore (Pakistani rupees) from Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab in Pakistan. In addition, Arshad had received a Honda Civic from Maryam. This vehicle has the unique number PAK-92.97. This number is registered in accordance with Arshad's throw record.
However, the father-in-law of Arshad Nadeem has made the decision to give him a buffalo. In rural areas, giving gifts of this kind is customary. On Sunday, August 11, Arshad Nadeem's father-in-law Muhammad Nawaz told the village's local media that giving a buffalo as a gift is'very valuable' and'respectful' in his community.

Businessman Ali Shekhani, a Pakistani-American, declared that he would give Arshad Nadeem a brand-new Suzuki Alto vehicle. Sardar Salim Haider Khan, the governor of Punjab, however, awarded a reward of Rs 20 lakh (Pakistani Rupees). The governor of Sindh, Kamran Tesri, declared Rs 10 lakh (Pakistan Rupees) to Nadeem, while the chief minister of Sindh, announced Rs 5 crore (Pakistan Rupees). Cricket player Ahmed Shehzad and well-known Pakistani singer Ali Zafar both pledged to donate Rs 10 lakh.

Arshad Nadeem will receive a gold crown as a token of appreciation from Sukkur Mayor Islam Shaikh. Not only that, but Arshad Nadeem will also be honoured with a new sports stadium in Sukkur. Pakistan's second highest award, the Hilal-e-Imtiaz, will be given to Arshad Nadeem in recognition. This was announced by Pakistan's President, Asif Ali Zardari. Mayor of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, also declared the opening of an athletic academy named after Arshad.

At the same time, Neeraj Chopra, the Olympic silver medallist from Paris, has not yet had his prize money officially announced. Nonetheless, the Haryana government's sports policy states that the silver medallist receives Rs 4 crore. Neeraj Chopra was showered with cash after winning the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj was then awarded a prize money of Rs 13 crore.

The government of Haryana had given Neeraj Rs 6 crore for winning the gold. An announcement regarding class-1 jobs was made. In contrast, the governments of Punjab and Byju's had pledged to donate Rs 2 crore apiece. The governments of Manipur, Chennai Super Kings, and BCCI had all pledged to donate Rs 1 crore apiece. Neeraj Chopra was given a Mahindra XUV700 car by businessman Anand Mahindra. Neeraj Chopra was also given a unique gift by Indigo. The company announced free tickets for an entire year.
