In a shocking turn of events, Former US President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt on Saturday after a young shooter fired multiple shots at him during a Republican Party campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania.

In the video footage, Trump can be seen narrowly escaping the attack; however, a bullet shot did injure his right ear.

After the tragic incident on the former US President, social media is flooded with multiple posts suggesting that the American Sitcom ‘The Simpsons' predicted this attack in one of their past episodes.

The Simpsons have been a popular show, known for their uncanny ability to predict real-world events.

The theories erupted after a social media user shared images of an animated man who looks similar to Trump lying in a coffin, suggesting that the show had predicted Trump’s assassination attempt years back.

While there are netizens who have refused to believe this, some are resharing the post after being surprised by the show’s uncanny prediction.

Here is what netizens said:

One user said on X, “Simpsons got some explaining to do

#trump shot

Can't make this stuff up.”

“The Simpsons predicted Trump would get assassinated, but were they right again!,” another user wrote.

Meanwhile, A spokesperson for the Trump Campaign said the former president is “fine” after the “heinous act.”

The FBI identified the gunman as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park.

Trump also took on his Truth Social platform to react to the shooting incident that aimed to kill him.

“I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured,” Trump wrote. “It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!.
