Dussehra or Vijayadashmi celebrates the victory of good over evil. This year, the festival is being celebrated on October 24.

Here are five must-watch Bollywood films whose plots are centered around the festival capturing the true essence of Dussehra

The song Pal Pal Hai Bhaari from Swades has Ram-Leela scene showing Sita's yearning for Lord Rama in Ravana's Ashok Vatika. Shah Rukh Khan's Mohan sings how one can become Rama by discarding their evil side.

Kahaani has Vidya Balan faking her search for her lost husband during the ten days of Durga Puja in Kolkata. On the final day, i.e. Dussehra, she finishes rogue IB agent responsible for poison-gas attack, showing victory of good over evil.

Delhi-6 uses the metaphor of 'Kaala Bandar' to showcase the story of good over evil spread across the ten days of Ram-Leela. On Dussehra, Raavan and Kaala Bandar both are burnt and Delhi-6 surives.

Ra.One takes its name from the demon Lanka king itself. The film has its antagonist named Ra.One who comes out of a video game to kill everyone. But, the superhero G.One fights him in the end as good conquers evil.

Goliyo ki Raasleela Ram-Leela is set aound the ten days of the festival. On Dussehra, love wins over hate but only after Ram and Leela sacrifice their lives and shoot each other dead.
