PM Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate India’s new Parliament building in Delhi by the end of May.

The new parliament building has been revamped as part of the Central Vista Re-development Project.

The building is in its final stage and will be inaugurated in last week of May, to mark 9 years of Modi govt.

Modi had taken the oath of office nine years ago on May 26, 2014.

The 4-storey building, built at an estimated cost of Rs 970 crores, can house 1,224 MPs.

It has a grand Constitution hall to showcase India's democratic heritage, dining areas and ample parking space.

It has 3 doors - Gyan, Shakti, and Karma Dwar, and separate entries for MPs, VIPs and visitors.

NIFT has designed new uniform for staffs in both the Houses.
