Raashi Khanna was born on November 30, 1990, in New Delhi. She attended St. Mark's Senior Secondary Public School and graduated in English from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University.
Raashi excelled academically in school and college, often being a top performer. She initially aspired to be a singer but later considered becoming an IAS officer.
Surprisingly, Raashi had no interest in modeling or acting before her film career. She worked as a copywriter for advertisements, featuring in campaigns for Domino's and Tata Sky.
She made her Bollywood debut in 2013 with Madras Cafe, directed by Shoojit Sircar. In the film, she portrayed the wife of an Indian intelligence officer, played by John Abraham.
After her Bollywood debut, Raashi became a prominent figure in the Southern film industry. Her Telugu debut was in Oohalu Gusagusalade, directed by Srinivas Avasarala.
In 2014, Raashi sang for her movie Joru, showcasing her musical talent. She has since lent her voice to several films, including Villain and Prati Roju Pandage.
Raashi starred in many successful films, such as Bengal Tiger and Jai Lava Kusa. Her performances solidified her status as a leading actress in the Telugu and Tamil film industries.
Raashi cites Priyanka Chopra as her biggest inspiration. Interestingly, she shared a room with actress Vaani Kapoor in Mumbai, with both debuting in 2013.
Raashi has several upcoming films, including Aranmanai 3 and Methavi. She is also working on the Malayalam remake of Andhadhun, titled Bhramam, opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran.
