According to Ayurveda, the best time to consume your last meal is before sunset. The sun plays a crucial role with our body’s digestive system. When the sun rises, our body’s digestive system works well and after sunset, the release of digestive juices also reduces.

This is one of the major reasons why one should avoid consuming meals post sunset as it’s difficult to digest. At the same time, your body ends up forming toxins that give a push to digestive issues like constipation and bloating.

Now focusing on the benefits of eating dinner early, your food is likely to digest faster and your body gets more time to recover from muscle soreness and cell damage.

As far as your sleep is concerned, having dinner before sunset won’t interrupt your sleep cycle. You are likely to fall asleep early and experience a more undisturbed sleep at night.
