Five foods which should not be consumed at night

It is essential to choose the right food during the night time as it impacts your overall health and sleep. 

1. Spicy food: Spicy foods made with red chilies and other spices can cause heartburn and indigestion at night. 

2. Fried snacks: Fried snacks such as Samosa or fritters should be avoided at night as they are high in fat which can cause bloating and indigestion. 

3. Desserts: Desserts are high in sugar which can cause a spike in blood sugar levels, affecting the sleep quality. 

4. Meat dishes: Meat dishes are often rich in calories which can cause indigestion and heartburn. 

5. Citrus fruits: Citrus fruits such as oranges should be avoided during the night time as they cause an increase in stomach acid and disturb sleep quality.
