Five superfoods which are considered 'Amrit' in Ayurveda

Ayurveda, a system of traditional Indian medicine, is widely recognised across the world. There are some superfoods which are considered 'Amrit' in Ayurveda. 

 1. Turmeric: Known for its medicinal values, turmeric is referred to as 'golden spice'. It boosts immune system, aids digestion and promotes skin health. 

2. Ginger: The warming effect of ginger makes it a perfect remedy for cold and flu. It also helps boost immune system and helps fight nausea. 

3. Jamun: Rich in anti-oxidants, Jamun helps to maintain blood-sugar levels and contributes to digestion.

4. Tulsi: Tulsi is a widely celebrated herb, known for its medicinal values. It is known to combat stress, aid respiratory system and boost immunity. 

5. Honey: Honey works as natural sweetener and immunity booster. It also helps boost energy.
