Indian spices that prevent cancer, heart attack and other diseases

Ginger: This spice boasts of medicinal qualities that reduce cholesterol, boost metabolism and kill cancer cells. 

Pepper: An indian spice with anti-cancer properties, an overdose of it, however should be limited.

Oregano: It is a potential agent against heart attack and prostate cancer. 

Cumin: A herb with anti-oxidant characteristics, cumin seeds contain a compound called 'Thymoquinone' that prevents cancer. 

Cinnamon: Half teaspoon of cinnamon powder daily prevents cancer and other diseases. 

Saffron: A dicarboxylic acid called 'Crocetin' is the main cancer-fighting compound that is present in saffron.

Turmeric: This comprises the powerful polyphenol Curcumin that has been clinically proven to prevent prostrate cancer, melanoma, breast cancer, brain tumour, etc.

Fennel: 'Anethole', a major compound of fennel resists and restricts the adhesive and invasive activities of cancer cells.
