A hotly debated topic among foodies is pulao and veg biryani. Are they same or is there any difference?

Are you ready to find out the difference?

Pulao is one of the tastiest dishes that can be prepared with rice.

Nonetheless, a lot of people mistake pulao for vegetarian biryani. If, on the other hand, you feel the same way, keep reading to find out how the two dishes vary.

Persian biryani is traditionally prepared with rice and meat, but since vegetarianism is popular in India, the same technique is also used to make a vegetarian version of biryani that excludes the meat.

Pulao, which has a longer history than biryani, is believed to have originated in the Middle East and has been referenced in numerous literary works, including works written in Tamil, Sanskrit, and Persian.

Recipe for vegetarian biryani: To make vegetarian biryani, cook the rice and vegetables separately, then layer them in a pan with a heavy bottom. Dum biryani is the name of the dish because each layer contains fried onions, garam masala, and biryani attar. It is typically sealed and steam-cooked.

Pulao Recipe: Soak long grain rice in water for at least half an hour before preparing. All the vegetables are added and cooked for five minutes after large amounts of onions and garlic are sauteed in oil or ghee. Then, add the spices according to taste. When ready to serve, steam the pulao until the rice is soft and the vegetables are soft.
