Sweets are necessary for celebrations as several festivals, including Haryali Teej and Raksha Bandhan, are just around the corner. Here are some of the most lip-smacking sweet dishes that even diabetics can have.

A traditional Indian treat known as coconut burfi is ideal for diabetics due to its low sugar content. To begin, combine the dates, cardamom powder, and coconut flakes in a mixer and blend until to make a thick paste form.

Clarified butter (ghee) should be added to this mixture and mixed well. Place the batter on a greased baking sheet and place it into the refrigerator and then cut it into pieces.

Oats are a fantastic ingredient for sweet dishes that are suitable for diabetics as it is abundant in fibre and contains a low glycemic index. The first step in making the ideal oats chikki is to roast the oats in a pan till they turn golden brown.

After that, pour some ghee and jaggery or brown sugar into the pan and mix until it melts and add the oats. Distribute the mixture onto a greased tray and with a pinch of cardamom powder for flavour on top of it. Break it into pieces once it has cooled and savour your delicious oats chikki.

Another delicious sweet dish that is ideal for diabetics due to its low level of sugar is dates laddoo. The first step is to soften the dates by immersing them in warm water for a duration of 30minutes. The dates should then be strained, their seeds removed, and processed in a blender to make them into paste.

Heat up some ghee in a another pan, then add this blended paste and dry fruits like almonds, cashews, or walnuts. Combine everything, then shape the mixture into small balls and let them cool on a sheet of foil. Enjoy with your friends and family.

Another traditional Indian treat, phirni, has a low sugar content, making it suitable for those with diabetes. Basmati rice should first be soaked for an entire night before being blended with milk into a fine paste. Cardamom powder and milk should be heated in a separate pan while being continuously stirred until it begins to bubble. When everything is thoroughly combined, add the rice paste to the batter along with some sugar-free jaggery or honey. When the phirni has the consistency you want, serve it in bowls and enjoy.

Due to its low amount of sugar, beetroot halwa is a fantastic sweet dish that is suitable for diabetics. Grate two large beets, then add them to a pan with some ghee on medium flame. When the mixture is cooked, add some jaggery without sugar and cardamom powder, and stir until everything is combined. Garnish with almonds, cashews, pistachio etc, and serve.
