Will men go extinct from Earth as Y chromosomes decline? Know here

A day will come when this distinction between men and women will end! Men will not be born on earth. Perhaps then only women will survive. If men are gone, who will take their place? What kind of creature will be born? How will human generations move forward.

Because on earth, most of the work of reproduction or carrying forward generations is done by male and female together. These questions are being raised because now Y Chromosomes are disappearing in many mammals including humans.

That means a time will come when no boys will be born. Only girls will be born. Now if boys are not born then what kind of creature will come in their place.

Recently a research paper has been published on this subject in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science journal. In which a study has been done on the extinction of the genes that produce males.

In humans and many other mammals, females have two X chromosomes. Whereas males have one X and another small chromosome Y. Their name does not define their size. But X has 900 genes, which do such work which have nothing to do with determining sex. That means they do not decide boy or girl.

The Y chromosome, smaller than the X, determines a child's gender. Its master sex gene, SRY, influences male testis formation. Most mammals have X and Y chromosomes, with XY being normal in Australia's platypus.

The Y chromosome, responsible for male or female traits, is losing 5 genes every 10 lakh years, potentially ending human evolution. This raises questions about the possibility of new genes being created for humans.

The extinction of Y chromosomes could lead to the extinction of men, as female-reproducing species require sperm and eggs for reproduction, potentially causing the species' destruction.
