An apparent case of road rage resulted in the shooting death of a 29-year-old Indian-origin man in front of his spouse in the US state of Indiana. The victim was carrying a handgun when he confronted the other driver in a pickup truck, and the accused shooter, who was initially detained at the scene, was later released, suggesting they may have acted in "self-defence."

According to local WTHR reports, the man, who was originally from Agra in Uttar Pradesh, married ZaMora on June 29, just over two weeks before he passed away. In the video, Dasaur is seen approaching the driver's side of the pickup truck while holding a gun in his right hand and punching the door with it. Then, he raises his right hand to the truck's window and transfers the gun to his left hand.
In response, the pickup's driver fires three times, causing Dasaur to fall to the ground right away. Throughout the brief seven-second encounter, the gunman never got out of his car.
Officer Amanda Hibschman of the Indianapolis Police Department (IMPD) reported that on July 16, shortly after 8 p.m., authorities were called to an intersection on the southeast side of the city in reference to a shooting victim. Officers who arrived reported seeing a man with at least one gunshot wound lying on the ground in the middle of the road. The shooting victim was identified by the man's spouse. “I held him as he bled out and I was waiting for the ambulance,” the victim's widow stated to The Indianapolis Star.
The shooting and alleged road rage incident are still under investigation, according to the IMPD. When Dasaur's wife was mourning her husband's passing, she denounced the shooting. She told the local outlet, "He was a hardworking man who wanted to give the world to me and his family and always went out of his way to help anyone."
