Aditya Ghosh, the President and whole-time Director of budget carrier IndiGo resigned from his post on Friday. In a statement released post a Board meeting held on Friday, the company announced that its Chairman, Rahul Bhatia, would function as the interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as well as the Director of the company.

Aditya Ghosh has called it quits after working with IndiGo for 10 years, Ghosh announced that he would be resigning in order to take up his next adventure and expressed his gratitude to IndiGo for their expansion spree.

1.IndiGo Board announced that Aditya Ghosh's resignation as President of the Company would be effective from July 31.
IndiGo also announced the return of Greg Taylor to the Board of the company as a Senior Advisor. 

2. "It is now time for me to step off the treadmill and sometime in the near future embark on my next adventure. I wish all my colleagues at IndiGo the very best as they move on to the next phase of growth," Aditya Ghosh said over his sudden resignation.

3.Gregory Taylor is likely to replace Aditya Ghosh, he is Indigo's one of the former executives. IndiGo also confirmed that Rahul Bhatia, a promoter of the company, has been appointed as the interim CEO.

The development comes amid the airline embarking on ambitious expansion plans and its aircraft facing technical issues with engines.

4. InterGlobe Aviation said Taylor, a former executive at the airline, has been appointed as a Senior Advisor and would report directly to Bhatia.

"In the coming months, the Board will consider the appointment of Greg as President and CEO of the company, subject to receiving the necessary regulatory approvals and paperwork," InterGlobe said in a statement.

5. During 2016 and 2017, Taylor was the Executive Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning at IndiGo.
Prior to that, he had served in various senior management roles at United Airlines and US Airways in the areas of corporate planning, strategy, network planning, fleet planning, finance, cost management and airline express operations, the statement read.
