Six killed in road collision in Madhya Pradesh

Six persons were killed today and 10 others injured when the jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck in neighbouring Satna district, police said.

The mishap took place on NH 7 between Jhukehi and Amdara when the victims were on their way to visit Maihar Devi temple from Damoh district, they said.

The deceased, who died on the spot have been identified as Govind (40), Vikash (18), Satyam (6), Jhalwari Bai (80), Sangita Bai (30) and Archana (21), police said.

The injured have been admitted to Katni district hospital where the post-mortem of the victims will be conducted, police added.
