Former Maharashtra minister and Congress nominee Amrishbhai Patel was today declared elected unopposed from Dhule-Nandurbar local civic body constituency after eight candidates, withdrew from the contest.
Friday was the last day for withdrawal of nomination papers from said constituency for state legislative council.
Total nine candidates filed their nominations so far and eight of them withdrew today hence Amrishbhai Patel, whose nomination paper remained only declared elected unopposed, official sources said.
