Oberoi has been signed for Selvaraghavan’s Hindi remake of his hit Tamil film ‘7 G Rainbow Colony’ reports Pavithra Selvam

Just when we thought that Vivek Oberoi hasd gone into hibernation, here is some news about the actor.  While Vivek is soon going to start shooting in Istanbul for Apoorva Lakhia’s next, ‘Mission Istanbul’, he will also be featuring in the remake of yet another Tamil film.

Earlier, it was Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film ‘Alaipayuthe’, which was remade by Shaad Ali into ‘Saathiya’ (starring Vivek and Rani Mukherji). This time round Vivek will be seen in director Selvaraghavan’s Hindi remake of his hit Tamil film ‘7 G Rainbow Colony’. “Selvaraghavan is a new generation director. I have seen all his movies. He is a rock star. My mentor Mani Ratnam introduced me to him and strongly recommended I act in his film,” said Vivek Oberoi at the music launch of ‘Kannamoochi Ennada’ in Chennai.

Vivek will play the role of a middle class lad who can never do anything right. “We still have not finalised the heroine,” said Thangadurai, Selvaraghavan’s secretary.

While Selvaraghavan has roped in Vivek for ‘7 G Rainbow colony,’ a Tamil newspaper reported that he has also roped in Ajay Devgan for the remake of his film ‘Pudupetai’, which originally starred Danush aka Rajnikath’s son-in-law. While Ajay could not be reached for comment, Thangadurai said, “Selvaraghavan is in Kerala shooting at the moment. I can’t confirm it.

Incidentally,  Vivek is back in the reckoning after the success of Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’.
