Kangana Ranaut is back in action as the trailer of her much-anticipated film Manikarnika dropped on Tuesday. The Manikarnika trailer has created quite a buzz since it awakens every warrior and patriot wanting to do something for the country. The trailer is action-packed and sees Kangana Ranaut in an all new avatar, but this sneak-peek into the film isn’t all so fresh and new. It is basically an old candy wrapped into a new gift wrap.

Why do we say so? Well, the trailer is full of moments which give us a deja vu. Here, we're listing down 7 times Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika trailer reminded us of Deepika Padukone in Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Jodha Akbar, Prabhas and Ramya Krishnan in Baahubali 2 among others.

Check them out here...

1. When Deepika Padukone kills a deer in Padmaavat

The Manikarnika trailer begins with an introduction to Kangana's Manikarnika character, where one scene shows her killing a tiger created with VFX. It almost took us back to the beginning of this year with Padmaavat, in which Deepika Padukone was introduced with a scene where she tries to kill a deer.

2. Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela song Lahu Muh Lag Gaya recreation

2/9

The seductive song ‘Lahu Muh Lag Gaya’ from Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela added fuel to rumours of Deepika Padukone being in a relationship with Ranveer Singh. This time around, Kangana Ranaut recreated the same feels with rangoli, flowers and a girl.

3. When Deepika goes to war with her kid in Bajirao Mastani

3/9

Just like Deepika Padukone took her child to a war, where Ranveer Singh saved them in Bajirao Mastani, Manikarnika trailer too showed Kangana Ranaut taking her son with her to fight almost every time.

4. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's sword fighting in Jodhaa Akbar

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan mesmerized one and all with her sword-fighting training sequence in Jodhaa Akbar and we don’t blame Kangana Ranaut for wanting to take inspiration from that one now, do we?

5. Prabhas's entry on the elephant in Baahubali: The Conclusion

Prabhas's entry on the elephant in Baahubali: The Conclusion
5/9

One of the most epic scenes in Baahubali: The Conclusion was when the shining star Prabhas showcased his skills and jumped on an elephant effortlessly, marking his introduction in Baahubali 2. Manikarnika trailer manages to take us back in time with Kangana pulling off a similar sequence.

Now time for some bonus scenes....

6. Sivagami sitting with her child in Baahubali: The Beginning

6/9

Baahubali: The Beginning introduced Prabhas’ character and a vital scene from that was when Sivagami, played by Ramya Krishnan, sat on the throne with Baahubali. Kangana sitting on the throne with her son gives similar feels in Manikarnika.

7. Tanvi Azmi in Bajirao Mastani

7/9

It just looks like Tanvi Azmi’s character has been recreated for Manikarnika, but this is probably a softer version of her.

8. When Ankita Lokhande reminded us of Priyanka Chopra in Bajirao Mastani

8/9

Ankita Lokhande, who is making her debut with Manikarnika, comes in barely two shots in the trailer, and still, she manages to remind us of Kashibai played by Priyanka Chopra in Bajirao Mastani.

9. Kangana's Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi

Despite all of these similar points, Kangana still manages to retain some originality which makes up for the highlights of the trailer – for example the scene where she lays helpless on the floors, or where she tears apart a rival soldier’s skull.
