Shahid Kapoor entered Vishal Bhardwaj's zone with the critically-acclaimed film Kaminey. The movie demanded extra efforts from him and Shahid gave the director just that. The actor reportedly took a year to get the perfect built to look good on-screen in the film.

While Shahid Kapoor was still training at Shiamak Davar Institute of Dance, he has a body as lean as a bamboo stick. Shah Rukh Khan had pulled Shiamak Davar's leg and mentioned why didn't he feed his dancers. Shahid then got inspired to bulk up his body. Can we thank Shah Rukh enough for that?

Shahid Kapoor had recently confessed about his long list of lovers. On a chat show, when Ishaan was asked what would he do if he was stuck in an elevator with all of Shahid's exes, Shahid was quick to add, "The elevator will be full".

Shahid however was rarely in a serious relationship, and according to his confession, he never left his girlfriends - they left him. His dating journey reportedly began with Hrishita Bhatt, who featured with him in 'Aankhon Mein'. Shahid was then in a relationship with Kareena Kapoor Khan for the longest time. They broke up on the sets of Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met and Kareena went on to date Saif Ali Khan when they met on the sets of Tashan. Shahid's name was soon linked to his neighbour Priyanka Chopra, but both of them denied any such thing. He is finally a married man. The actor got married to Mira Rajput in an arranged marriage and the couple is blessed with a daughter Misha and their son Zain Kapoor.

Shahid Kapoor has quite a history with cars. He loves automobiles. The actor owns a Harley Davidson and Range Rover. Shahid has once reminiscised, “When I bought my first car, I also wanted to buy a Pioneer music system for it but at that time I couldn’t afford it. Now they want me to endorse it.”

Shahid Kapoor indulged in non-veg food before he came across a book. The book, 'Life Is Fair' by Brian Hines, changed his outlook towards food and turned him into a pure vegetarian. Not just himself, Shahid also inspired his then-girlfriend Kareena to turn into a vegetarian.

Shahid Kapoor appeared in the song 'Hey Mr DJ' as a Disco Jockey, but not many would be aware that the actor, even in real life, loves to play his tunes and see people groove to them. Shahid often goes to Goa on New Year's Eve, and if some reports are to be believed, he is the DJ there.

In the beginning of his career, Shahid Kapoor had a traumatic experience with a horse. During the filming of his film Ishq Vishq, he was required to sit on a horse, but the actor came face-to-face with the horse, literally. When he found a horse's head extremely close to his posterior, Shahid jumped off the fence and ran in the opposite direction, for as far as he could.
