Alia Bhatt-starrer Jigra will soon be hitting the cinemas, and on Thursday, the makers dropped the theatrical trailer of the film. Take a look at the best moments from the 3-minute preview.
1. Alia Bhatt's concern for Vedang Raina
The trailer starts with a phone of Ankur (Vedang) to Satya (Alia). The way a nervous Satya asks Ankur about his well being, establishes their strong sibling bond.
2. Vedang Raina gets capital punishment
Ankur seemingly gets trapped in a drug racket, and the court announces capital punishment death by electrocution for him.
3. Alia Bhatt's desperate attempt to see Vedang Raina
In one scene, Satya is ready to cut herself with a knife, just to meet her imprisoned brother Ankur.
4. Alia Bhatt's intense training to free Vedang Raina from prison
Satya decides to break into the prison to free Ankur, and for that, she goes on extreme-level training, falls from height, and takes some major hits.
5. Alia Bhatt's hunger to prove Vedang Raina innocent
In another scene, Alia tells the air hostess that she's very hungry, and how she eats the food metaphorically establishes her hunger to prove her brother innocent.
6. Alia Bhatt goes lethal
Alia does it all to break into the prison, and she turns lethal holding a hammer and gun, to slay anyone who's come in her way.
7. Vedang Raina's pain and struggle
Ankur is getting tortured inside the prison, and Vedang successfully emotes the pain of his character.
8. Jr Alia Bhatt's promise to her little brother
The trailer gives a sneak peek of Satya's turbulent past, in which she promises Ankur to be there with him, no matter what.
9. Alia Bhatt calling her badass to save Ankur
In the last scene of the trailer, Alia establishes that she's not a nice person, she's just a protective sister of Ankur, establishing herself as a badass character.
