SCOOPS: Akshay Kumar charges Rs 90 crore for his debut web series, Saif Ali Khan's 'Go Goa Gone 2' in limbo

Akshay Kumar is known to balance his work commitments extremely well. The actor who delivers three to four films each year has also become the first Bollywood superstar to take a plunge into the digital space. The Kesari hero will soon be seen in an action-packed web series titled The End for Amazon Prime. Reportedly, Akki has been paid a whopping Rs 90 crore for the same. But we now hear that his will be a three-part series. Says a source, "Akshay plans to devote one month completely to the shoot of the show's first season. It will have as many as eight episodes. Each year, the actor will squeeze in a month for the team and they plan to shoot three seasons by the end of 2021."

Ali Abbas Zafar's next Bharat, produced by Atul Agnihotri is finally complete. The team has worked relentlessly on the film, which is a period saga and an official Hindi adaptation of the Korean drama Ode To My Father. The team wrapped up the shoot sometime last week. Says a source, "It was the 100th day of shoot and Bharat was complete exactly on its centenary day. The team filmed the last few sequences in Subhash Ghai's Whistling Woods. There was Katrina Kaif and Tabu, joining Salman Khan for the shoot."

For his role of a paraplegic in his debut as a producer, Bypass Road, Neil Nitin Mukesh had to gain 25 kilos. But, he also had to look fit for the promotions of his next outing, Saaho, in which he plays a super-athletic antagonist. To shed the extra pounds he had piled up over the past six-odd months, Neil doubled his workout time. That's not all, he has also ditched his vehicle and rides a bicycle to work. Neil says, "Losing the weight wasn't a task for me. I took up the natural way of doing cardio -- cycling. I never knew it would be such a refreshing experience!" He adds that apart from altering his mode of transport, he also cycles for approximately 45 minutes in the night. "The best part is, you also do your bit in reducing pollution," the actor states, adding that the activity has become a daily routine for him.

Varun Dhawan has a busy year ahead. He is shooting for Remo D'souza's Street Dancer 3D and will begin his next project - Coolie No.1 - once he finishes the dance film. After Hrs had previously reported that Varun is teaming up with Shashank Khaitan for a spy thriller. The movie was initially supposed to go on floors this year, but now it seems there's been a change in plans. Says a source, "Varun was supposed to shoot Shashank's film simultaneously with his dad David Dhawan's directorial venture (Coolie No.1). But the actor spoke to his filmmaker friend and they felt it would become a problem shuttling between projects. Hence, he has moved the actioner to early next year."

The makers of Saif Ali Khan-starrer Go Goa Gone (2013) had announced last year that they are planning a sequel to the zombie comedy. Tentatively titled Go Goa Gone 2: Babaji Ki Booty, the same team will be fighting aliens this time. But the movie that was supposed to go on floors this March has been pushed indefinitely.

"The producers had even locked Saif's dates but now, after the fallout between Dinesh Vijan and Raj and DK, the film is in limbo. The makers who had earlier collaborated on producing Stree (2018) were fighting a legal battle after there were disputes regarding profit sharing on the film. They are trying to sort the issue out so that work on the sequel can progress."
