SCOOPS: Did Salman Khan kiss Disha Patani, Parineeti Chopra becomes go-to actress for replacements

Salman Khan, in a recent interview to After Hrs, said that he is not for kissing and nudity in his films. However, in the recently-released song, Slow Motion, from his upcoming Eid release, Bharat, it looks like the superstar has broken his rule. We chanced upon a shot from the peppy number, also featuring Disha Patani. And for a moment, it looks like Salman is indeed kissing his young leading lady. Wonder what convinced the Bollywood superstar to side-step his rule. Or did the director Ali Abbas Zafar and choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant opt for a cheat shot?

Taapsee Pannu, who has just wrapped up a schedule of her next film with Bhumi Pednekar in Meerut, seems to have become popular with the locals. We hear that people from the neighbourhood would regularly bring along home-made delicacies to offer to the Manmarziyaan actress.

Taapsee, who’s built a bond with Bhumi while working on the film on the world’s oldest sharpshooters, shared her local tiffin with her. A source close to the actress tells us, “Within a few days of the commencement of the schedule, local people started bringing food for Taapsee. She was overwhelmed by the people’s love and affection and after a point, couldn’t refuse. She and Bhumi indulged in the delicacies that the locals specially brought for them.”

On her part, Taapsee says, “The beauty of shooting in village is that you can actually eat some fresh vegetables grown right around the corner and they are cooked in the best local way in the houses around. I tried to make the best use of this opportunity. Everyday my team used to get veggies from the farm and the houses around volunteered to cook them for me because they knew how much I love homemade fresh food. So every meal was made in a different house. This was overwhelming, to begin with, but then I went and met all the people who were cooking for me and saw how happy they were doing the same so I was relieved I am not making them overwork. There have been times I got food made to share with my other teammates as well and all of us relished it. These memories will never fade.”

Raveena Tandon, who will be seen as the guest judge in the upcoming episode of Super Dancer 3, revealed some interesting tidbits from the shoot of Andaz Apna Apna (1994). She said that playing pranks on the sets was a sort of a ritual. “One such incident was when Aamir pretended to spill hot tea on me and I freaked out. But I decided to take revenge on him. So, while shooting for the song, Eloji Sanam Hum Aa Gaye, which was shot in the jungle, I planned a prank along with choreographer Sarojji (Khan) where she made Aamir dance for three hours straight without a reel in the camera, we even involved the DOP (director of photography) in it” she said. One can only imagine how the ‘perfectionist’ actor must have reacted to it!

Karan Kapadia, nephew of veteran actress Dimple Kapadia and son of late yesteryear actress Simple Kapadia, is making his acting debut with an action thriller, Blank. While the film is an unconventional subject for a first film, we hear the youngster had to wear only one costume, specifically a hoodie, throughout.

Reason: Most of the narrative takes place in a span of 24 hours. Karan, who plays the part of a suicide bomber who has lost his memory, wears a hoodie as required by his character. “So, to ensure that the hoodie looks worn out because of all that his character goes through in the course of the day, he didn’t change it either,” says a source.

Both these a-list actresses were replaced by Parineeti Chopra in the blink of an eye During her promotional interviews for Kesari, Parineeti Chopra had said that she has signed up a couple of new films that will be revealed soon. Since then, two movies have been announced with the Golmaal Again actress, and interestingly in both of them, she is replacing someone. She has taken over from Shraddha Kapoor to play Saina Nehwal in the ace shuttler's biopic, and in the other movie, the Hindi remake of The Girl On The Train, Pari replaces Jacqueline Fernandez to play an alcoholic woman who gets involved in a missing person’s investigation. Looks like Parineeti has become the go-to actress for replacements!
