'Simmba' Box Office Collection Week 1: Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan's film is SUPERHIT with Rs 150 Crore
Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba' starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan opened to great reviews, great Box Office numbers and even days after its release, the buzz around this film just doesn’t wish to stop!

1.Simmba is a clean superhit
Ranveer Singh, who began his career with a mass-entertainer, and wanted to perform action under Rohit Shetty since a long time, found 'Simmba'. The results of that was success at the Box Office both across the country and overseas. The film backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has crossed the Rs 150 Cr mark within its first week and is expected to reach the 200-crore mark at minimum.

Friday: Rs 20.72 crore
Saturday: Rs 23.33 crore
Sunday: Rs 31.06 crore
Monday: Rs 21.34 crore
Tuesday: Rs 28.19 crore
Wednesday: Rs 14.49 crore
Thursday: Rs 11.78 crore
Total: Rs 150 crore
3.2018 proved fruitful for both the actors
2018 seemed to belong to Ranveer Singh, who found success in the beginning of the year with 'Padmaavat', had a fulfilling journey shooting for 'Simmba' under Rohit Shetty and got backed by Karan Johar for the same, got married to his love, and found success in his Christmas release 'Simmba'.
Similarly for Sara Ali Khan, who made a thundering debut with 'Kedarnath', has hit the bull's eye again with 'Simmba'. Both her films are running simultaneously in cinema halls and have already crossed the coveted Rs 100 Cr mark.
4.'Simmba' has cemented Ranveer Singh's status as a bankable star and Rohit Shetty’s as the master of action direction
In a year when the Khan trio Salman Khan in 'Race 3', Aamir Khan’s 'Thugs of Hindostan' and Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Zero' could not sustain long enough, Ranveer Singh gave double hits, ensuring his place as a bankable star.
For Rohit Shetty on the other hand, 'Simmba' is the film where he has crossed the mark of making 100-crores in films for the eighth time.

'Simmba' might even become the third highest grossing film of 2018, right after Padmaavat, if Vicky Kaushal’s Uri, releasing on 11th January, doesn’t work well. The movie will then get time till Thackeray and Manikarnika release on 25th January, post which the collections of this one will be affected.
