RGV's Sarkar franchise is based on the Hollywood cult classic crime drama The Godfather trilogy. Francis Ford Copolla's 1972 film is also based on the popular novel of the same name.
3.Sarkar 3 box office collection
The movie was released in cinemas on May 12, 2017. However, it got mixed to negative reviews and was a commercial disaster. Made in a reported budget of Rs 36 crores, the film grossed only Rs 20 crores worldwide. The net collection of this film was only Rs 9 crores, making Sarkar 3 one of the lowest-grossing films of the franchise and one of the biggest flops of the year.
4.When Amitabh Bachchan aka Sarkar got defated by Prabhas' Baahubali
Sarkar 3 got a limited release because a major chunk of the screens continues showcasing Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Prabhas-starrer was released on April 28, 2017. Sarkar 3 was released two weeks later SS Rajamouli's film. But the Baahubali craze went on for a month, and Sarkar 3 was affected by it.
