'5 Weddings' Trailer out: Rajkummar Rao's charm and Nargis Fakhri's swag is a refreshing combination

The wait is finally over as the trailer of one of the most fun films 5 Weddings, starring Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri has been released by its makers. 

The trailer of the film reinstates that Rajkummar can never go wrong and his choices, even though bold and different, are promising.

The Newton actor has quite literally floored us with his performance as a perfect English-speaking police officer with charm oozing out like never before. 

Nargis Fakhri too has left a good impression as a curious writer who comes to India to write a piece on Indian weddings, but is later suspected of being a spy. 

Besides being an escort to Nargis, Rajkummar also has to keep tabs on her and what she is doing. 

As expected, the leads fall in love, but eventually Nargis' character ends up feeling hurt. 

Namrata Singh Gujral who has helmed the film has done a great job in capturing the milieu, and strikes the right balance between comedy and solemn.

However, Rajkummar Rao has stolen the show for us! His acting as usual is banfg on and we are just smitten by how he looks as a cop! 

5 Weddings also stars Hollywood actress Bo Derek who rose to instant fame with 10, and Oscar nominee Candy Clark.

The first look of the film was unveiled in Amritsar where we saw both Nargis and Rajkummar in Indian bridal finery. This is the first time the two are being paired together and he have to say that it is refreshing. 

The film which has been shown at the Melbourne International Film Festival as well, is going to release on September 21. 

Rajkummar Rao was seen in as many as six films in 2017, but only Bareilly Ki Barfi did well at the box office. Nargis was last seen in Banjo that tanked at the box office.
