Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reveals how Hrithik Roshan reacted after Abhishek proposed to her on sets of 'Jodha Akbar'

Everytime we see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan together, we think how perfect they are together.

Their love story is beautiful and their love for each other magical! 

The couple, who worked together in several films, eventually fell in love, and tied the knot at the Bachchan residence in Mumbai back in 2007. 

While we more-or-less know how Aishwarya and Abhishek's love story began, we are unaware about how the latter popped the question.

But now we know! Aishwarya finally shed some light on how Abhishek proposed to her.

The actress, while speaking to Filmfare, revealed that it happened on the sets of Jodha Akbar. 

She shared that she was already decked up as a bride when the proposal took place. The actress was surrounded by director Ashutosh Gowariker and co-star Hrithik Roshan.

“We’re doing Khawja mere Khwaja, sitting as a bride, and I am like, oh my God this is surreal, all happening on-screen, off-screen, this is bizarre,” she said.

“Ashutosh is like you are engaged and I am like yeah,” she added. 

While speaking about Hrithik’s reaction, she said that Duggu looked at her and gave her a thumbs up for her surprise engagement! 

Well, this is hilarious! Guess we are all Hrithik when we’re speechless over our friends’ engagement! 

Aishwarya and Abhishek were secretive about their relationship before they got hitched, but now the couple more often than not show love and support for each other publically and on social media. 

The two are parents to little Aaradhya Bachchan who recently turned seven.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan will be seen together after a long time in Anurag Kashyap's Gulab Jamun.
