Emraan Hashmi opens up about his feud with Mallika Sherawat, hopes to work with her again.
Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat’s chemistry in Murder lit up the theatres. However, in Koffee With Karan, Emraan Hashmi’s comments on the actress and her retaliation created an infamous feud between the two.
However, they both were seen hugging it out recently at an event in Mumbai and now Emraan has finally opened up about the infamous feud between them. In a chat with News18 Showsha, Emraan opens up on meeting Mallika, a moment that went viral on social media. He said, “It was very warm and cordial. I saw her after a very long time. I don’t think we had an encounter like in a long time. I had her a couple of times after the release of Murder.”
Addressing his feud with Mallika Sherawat, Emraan Hashmi said, “We were young and stupid at that time. You go through a phase in your life when your decision making power is so limited that and you’re just so impulsive. Some mean things were said by her and some by me. But those are all bygones.”
Emraan further expressed his wish to share screen space with Mallika soon and said, “We kept all of that aside. It was long back. It was very nice seeing and meeting her. She was very warm and so was I. She’s a co-actor I wish I could have worked again with.”
A few months after the release of their film Murder, Emraan and Mahesh Bhatt graced the Koffee With Karan couch. When he was asked about the ‘worst kisser’ among his co-stars, Emraan cheekily mentioned Mallika. Further, when he was asked to name something one would find in her bedroom, he said, ‘An idiot’s handbook to succeed in Hollywood’. Later, Mallika hit back at him saying that the snake she kissed in Hisss was a better kisser than Emraan.
Meanwhile, the second season of Emraan Hashmi’s web series Showtime is all set to premiere on OTT. The show Also stars Shriya Saran, Rajeev Khandelwal, Mahima Makhwana and Mouni Roy in key roles and is scheduled to release on Disney+ Hotstar on July 12.
