After Rhea Chakraborty named Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and others, while also revealing that 80 percent Bollywood takes drugs, NCB is now going to investigate old video from Karan Johar's party where Vicky reportedly consumed narcotics substance
During her interrogation by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Rhea Chakraborty revealed as many as 15 names who consume drugs. Five names out of the same are now public knowledge - them being Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, designer Simone Khambatta, Sushant's friend and former manager Rohini Iyer, and Sushant Singh Rajput's 'Dil Bechara' director Mukesh Chhabra.
According to sources, Rhea told NCB that 80 percent of Bollywood stars are on drugs. DNA has now learnt that after her statement, the agency is now investigating an old video from Karan Johar's party (in October 2019) where some believed that actor Vicky Kaushal consumed drugs. Reports stated that the NCB will summon 25 prominent Bollywood stars soon, mainly from the video.

Apart from Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Zoya Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Mira Rajput, Shakun Batra and others were recorded at the gathering. The video went viral after an MLA named Manjinder S Sirsa shared a video posted by filmmaker Karan Johar, of well-known Bollywood celebrities partying at his house.
Sirsa took to his Twitter handle and accused the celebrities of taking drugs. He tweeted, "#UDTABollywood - Fiction Vs Reality Watch how the high and mighty of Bollywood proudly flaunt their drugged state!! I raise my voice against #DrugAbuse by these stars. RT if you too feel disgusted @shahidkapoor @deepikapadukone @arjunk26 @Varun_dvn @karanjohar @vickykaushal09"

The accusation created quite a storm on the internet, with many other people pointing out a white content near Vicky Kaushal's lap, his gesture of rubbing his nose and Ayan Mukerji hiding something, as the use of drugs in the party. At various occassions though, Karan Johar questioned if he would put up a video if there were drugs involved, while Vicky had shared that KJo's mother was with them just five minutes before taking the video. Karan had said that what people assumed drugs, was a reflection of light, and that Vicky rubbed his nose because he was recovering from dengue.
On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut has made various claims against the filmmaker. She had gone on to state that he runs a movie mafia, which was trying to destroy Sushant's career. When NCB found the drugs angle, Kangana had also stated that she would testify against Bollywood celebrities who consume drugs if she is given security. Sushant's sister Shweta had demanded the same back then too.
The drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case came to light after a leaked WhatsApp chat hinted that Rhea Chakraborty, among others, dealt in drugs. After conducting their investigation, NCB arrested Rhea's brother Showik, followed by her arrest. Sushant's house manager Dipesh Sawant and a few other drug peddlers were also taken in custody.
A Mumbai special court rejected Rhea, Showik and four other bail applications on Friday.
Sushant was found dead in his house on June 14, 2020 under mysterious circumstances. Mumbai Police had declared that the actor died by suicide, but on Supreme Court's order, the CBI took over the case. The NCB is investigating drug angle in the case, while ED is looking into financial aspect of it.
