OMG 2 OTT release date: When, where to watch Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi's comedy-drama film

Starring Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva's messenger in an extended cameo and headlined by Pankaj Tripathi as Lord Shiva's staunch devotee, OMG 2 was released in the theatres on August 11, along with the action-drama Gadar 2. Despite the Sunny Deol-starrer juggernaut at the box office, Akshay Kumar-starrer went on to earn over Rs 100 crore net in India.

The Amit Rai directorial revolves around a middle-class father raising awareness about a very sensitive yet crucial topic. It highlights the importance of sex education while actively calling out prevailing misinformation. The satirical comedy received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and audiences.

Now, nearly after two months since its release, OMG 2 will stream on Netflix from October 8. The streaming giant took to its social media handles on Tuesday morning, October 3, and wrote, "We’ve got great news for you, and OMG can you tell we’re 2 excited? #OMG2 arrives 8 October, on Netflix."

Talking about his film's OTT release, Akshay Kumar said in a statement, "We are thrilled by the  enthusiastic reception OMG 2 has received in theatres! This story deserves to travel far and beyond borders and we are confident that with Netflix we will be able to take the film to entertainment lovers around the world. Hope that our labour of love continues to spread joy."

The producer Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Studios added, "OMG 2's journey from the silver screen to Netflix is an exhilarating leap into global streaming. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, OMG 2 also features Yami Gautam Dhar, Pavan Malhotra, Govind Namdev, Brijendra Kala, and Aarush Verma in key roles.
