This Is 83: Ranveer Singh recreates Kapil Dev holding World Cup moment and we're trying hard to spot the difference

Remember the moment when Kapil Dev held the World Cup for India? An image of Ranveer Singh recreating the moment has been making the rounds of the internet for quite some time. To be honest, it is rather difficult to spot any difference between Ranveer and Kapil Dev in the moments.

The image first made the rounds when a photo of Ranveer Singh, Kabir Khan and Mahesh Bhupati was unveiled. The trio announced the release of '83' merchandise. In the image, Ranveer is seen holding what looks like a laptop cover, in which he recreates Kapil Dev holding world cup moment.

Sharing the photo, the official page of '83 The Film' tweeted, "Three men driven by passion. One brand driven by the desire to be the best. Introducing #83Believe - the official merchandising line of 83."

Soon after fans pointed out the obvious - about how identical Ranveer and Kapil Dev look while holding the cup. Although, of course, the people around them are different, Ranveer has nailed looking like Kapil Dev.

Directed by Kabir Khan, the film also stars Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Saahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikanth as Men in Blue and Pankaj Tripathi as manager PR Man Singh. Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, and Harrdy Sandhu joined the team later. Tahir plays the role of Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib is Mohinder Amarnath and Harry Sandhu plays Madan Lal. Ranveer's real wife Deepika Padukone also plays his reel wife Romi Bhatia on the big screen. She is also the co-producer of the film.
