When the naughty groom Ranveer Singh demanded a KISS from Deepika Padukone in front of all the guests

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh finally got married on November 14 after 6 long years of dating at the Villa del Balbianello, Lake Como, Italy. The fun-filled engagement, sangeet and mehendi ceremonies were followed by a traditional Konkani style wedding, that took place on Wednesday. 

The couple had a lot of fun at all the functions. They also didn't refrain from indulging in some PDA. During Deepika's mehendi ceremony, the naughty groom reportedly demanded a kiss from her in front of all the guests. 

“The power couple were at their happiest selves. It so happened that while Deepika was getting her mehendi done, Ranveer had taken the duty of feeding her. But on one condition; Ranveer demanded that she kisses him and only then he will give her food. Deepika was also no less. She teased him too and said that she will give him a kiss only after he feeds her!," an insider told BollywoodLife. 

Interestingly, it was their on-screen kiss in Ram Leela that sealed the deal for the two. "We knew they were kind of a thing, but Ang Laga De (song from Ram Leela) confirmed it. That kiss was so intensely passionate, nobody uttered a word. I still can't forget that sight. It was new love, euphoric and maddening. Apparently, their lips were locked, even when the director said cut. This unscripted and passionate kiss confirmed their relationship," a crew member from the film's sets said in a recent interview. 

It is no surprise then, that Deepika thinks Ranveer is the "best kisser in the business". Ranveer also acknowledged Deepika’s kissing skills in an interview to Deccan Chronicle. “I think Deepika Padukone is the best kisser. Have you seen that ‘Ang laga de re, mujhe rang laga de re’ (song from Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela)?” he said.

Sharing further details about the Mehendi ceremony, a source told Pinkvilla, “The ambience at the event was electric. Ranveer Singh has enjoyed the most at the Mehendi ceremony. He danced his heart out while his lady love was busy getting the Mehendi done. Old songs were being played. First Shubha Mudgal performed, followed by Harshdeep Kaur. Romantic songs, ghazals and sufi songs were performed. Followed by a performance by Ranveer. He also danced on the beats of dhol.”

“The security has been very strict and hence no photos of the bride and the groom have come out on social media. The phone cameras were sealed with stickers. Deepika’s family and Ranveer’s family also shook a leg with their kids. While Deepika got done a designer Mehendi, Ranveer too has got done a little design on the hand with #DeepVeer written!,” the source added.

On the Sangeet ceremony, the source said, "A special guitar tribute was arranged for DeepVeer. It was a surprise sort of thing that the groom and bride’s family had planned for them. All the songs of Deepika and Ranveer were played on guitar. And it was so soothing and mesmerising that it compelled the lovebirds to come and shake a leg together. When a song from Bajirao Mastani, Aayat, was played, both Deepika and Ranveer couldn’t stop themselves from singing and hooting. Despite the mayhem of Mehendi and the guests, they made sure that they didn’t miss out this special tribute."
