Jet Airways to lease two aircraft

Jet Airways India Ltd is in talks with 4-5 international airlines to lease out two of its Boeing 777 aircraft from which it can earn over $4 million a month.

Jet Airways India Ltd is in talks with 4-5 international airlines to lease out two of its Boeing 777 aircraft from which it can earn over $4 million a month.

K G Vishwanath, vice-president, commercial strategy and investor relations, said, “Most of these aircraft will be leased out on dry leases.”

Currently, Jet has leased out seven aircraft, out of which four of them are with Turkish Airlines and three with Gulf Air. The aircraft with Gulf Air are due to be returned in October. The company earns around $2.2 million per month for leasing out a Boeing aircraft and $2 million for an Airbus plane.
