Rags to riches are the most inspiring success stories as they prove that people can overcome adverse situations to reach soaring heights just by the virtue of unwavering self-belief, determination and hard work, and this is a testament to true success.

One such motivating story is of Dadasaheb Bhagat who belongs to Beed, Maharashtra. Bhagat left his village and moved to Pune after completing high school to get a job. He is the son of agricultural labourers and has received formal education only till Class X.

He then completed an ITI diploma programme and was earning approximately Rs 9,000 a month as a room service boy at an Infosys guest house.

Meanwhile, he got intrigued by the industry and understood the software sector. However, he knew that he would only be accepted with a college degree.

However, he was driven by his family to pursue his interests in animation and design attended his animation classes in the evening and worked during the day. After completing the course, Bhagat was offered a job in Mumbai, which he accepted before deciding to move to Hyderabad.

Later, Bhagat started studying and researching Python and C++ while working at a Hyderabad-based design and graphics company. He then got a differentiating idea to create a library of reusable templates, and started selling them online. His company is called India's first Canva like company.

Unfortunately, he was involved in a car accident. While being restricted to a bed, Bhagat left his job and starting creating design libraries. His first company, Ninthmotion, was founded in that same year. He handled over 6,000 clients globally, including renowned companies like BBC Studios and the 9XM music channel.

Thereafter, he created a website like Canva for online graphic designing. This made him start his second business, DooGraphics, wherein people can use the simple interface to create designs and templates.

However, he had to shift to his village in Beed, Maharashtra due to the COVID-19-induced lockdown. Due to the lack of decent infrastructure, Bhagat had to make temporary preparations and build a shop in a hilly cattle shed with a good 4G network.

Along with a few friends, Bhagat started working out of the shed. Then, he began training more village kids, and his business grew.

After six months, the company gained 10,000 active customers, maximum from Bangalore, Delhi, and Maharashtra, and some also from Japan, Australia, and the UK. His company is presently worth over 2 crore.
