The path to success frequently begins with obstacles. Many times, successful businessmen begin their journey with nothing but zeal and ambition. Bhavesh Bhatia, who went blind at the age of 23, is an example of an inspirational businessman. The man behind the Rs 350 crore company began his journey with a small cart on which Bhavesh sold candles.
Bhavesh Chandubhai Bhatia developed a condition known as retina muscular deterioration at the age of 23, which caused him to lose his vision. Bhavesh has completed an MA program. Despite having a degree, Bhavesh was unable to find employment due to his vision problems. The person who gave Bhavesh the most courage was his mother, whom he lost when she was diagnosed with cancer.
Bhatia's father used all of his savings to pay for her mother's medical care, but she passed away. After his mother passed away, Bhavesh felt discouraged. Bhavesh attended the National Association for the Blind School to learn how to make candles because he had no job or other source of income.
Once he had mastered the skill, Bhavesh Bhatia's friend rented a cart for Rs 50 and began selling candles. He used to set aside Rs 25 of every rupee he received from selling candles. He met Nita at this time, and they later got married. Since Neeta's arrival, a lot has changed. He seems to have discovered his new light. Candles were created by Bhavesh, and Neeta would market them.
As his business expanded, he moved from cart to scooter and eventually to a van. He founded the Sunrise Candle Company in 1994. Sunrise Candles is a company with a current annual revenue of Rs 350 crores. Customers come from all over the world, and the company sells a range of candles, including plain, scented, gel, floating, and designer candles.
Over 9000 visually impaired people are employed by the company, and Bhavesh's wife, Neeta, supervises their vocational training. Sunrise Candles genuinely reflects the ambitious character of its founder. In a world that is already positioned to fail him, Bhavesh Bhatia emerges as an exception.
He defies the odds and motivates thousands of young people. Sunrise Candle, owned by 52-year-old Bhatia, produces more than 12,000 different candle designs. It sells its goods to 1000 multinational corporations outside of India, Navbharat Times reported. Anand Mahindra, a business magnate, recently praised Bhavesh Bhatia and shared his success story on Twitter.
