From an unassuming farm boy, dyslexic and mildly autistic, to one of the world’s leading minds on agriculture, Harry Stine has one of the most inspirational modern day success stories. Stine is the trailblazer in seed-genetics, reinventing crop growth to increase yield in a world where hunger is still a harsh truth.

Harry Stine is the founder of Stine Seeds, one of the biggest companies in its segment. He has more than 900 patents and has amassed a massive fortune by licensing corn and soybean genetics to large corporations like Syngenta and Monsanto. He tampers with seed genetics to enhance crop yield and make it resistant against pesticides.

Stine found his love for farming as a young boy and the world of seeds fascinated. While he is dyslexic and mildly autistic, Stine is also a mathematics and data wizard, writes Forbes about the sole billionaire and richest person of US state Iowa.

From a 5-year-old kid taking early interest in farming, Stine now commands a massive net worth in excess of Rs 64000 crore ($7.7 billion) at 81. Stine runs the biggest private seed company in the world and owns 15,000 acres of farmland. However, he doesn't live the luxurious and flamboyant life of a billionaire despite his massive fortune. His residence is a small house just a stone’s throw away from his company’s headquarters. Instead of luxury cars, he drives a modest Ford pickup truck to work.
