Meet IITian from Bihar who quit Rs 84 lakh job to wash clothes, builds Rs 110 crore firm

Arunabh Sinha's story is inspirational. He didn't have a business background. He was already earning a whopping salary. He quit everything and started a laundry business. The company now has scaled to over Rs 100 crore.

Arunabh Sinha's salary was Rs 84 lakh per annum when the IITian decided to quit his job, reported NBT. He started a laundry business. The name of his startup is UClean. 

Sinha is a native of Bihar's Bhagalpur. His father is a teacher, mother a home-maker. They used to live in a small house. He was very good at studies. He had started preparing for IIT since Class 8. He also took tutions to earn pocket money. After Class 12, he cracked IIT. His family had to struggle a lot to arrange money for his college education.

He was placed abroad after his college education. In 2015, he got married. UClean wasn't his first startup. He had opened a business called Franglobal. After it failed to take off, he joined Tribo Hotels. He opened his present company in 2015. Its first store was opened in Vasant Kunj. His family didn't like his business. However, Arunabh was undeterred.

As of now, he is running 350 outlets, reported NBT. He now sells his franchise for Rs 5 lakh. 7 percent is his royalty fee. He earns Rs 3-3.5 lakh per store. The company has grown to be a Rs 110 crore firm.
